Zelda Tate, 85, Passes Away

Zelda Tate,. 85, of DeSoto, passed away April 22.  Mrs. Tate was a retired DISD elementary school teacher at T.S. Marsalis Elementary, and a lifelong member of the Baptist Church.

She was preceeded in death by her husband, Bugs Tate, in 2005. She is survived by her sons and daughters in law: Darrell and Gayle Tate, Kyle and Vicki Tate, and Brian and Jeannine Tate; 10 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family received friends April 25 at Eastridge Baptist Church in Red Oak and a service was held with Bro. Jack Ables and Dr. Clyde Box officiating. Interment followed in Forreston Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Eastridge Baptist Church building fund.
