8th Grade Girls: JMS Sweeps Sherman Piner

The Johnson Middle School Lady Tigers came out roaring and defeated Sherman Piner in all three games, last week.

JMS won the A-game 43-11. Chanterria Jackson led the way with 24 points followed by Nelise Ellis who contributed 6 and Kristi Carter with 5. Alon Encalade did an outstanding job rebounding and defensively. Alexis Samano played great defense as well.

JMS won the B-game 38-4. Briana Williams led the way with 18 points followed by Jozelle Aguilar and Kirsten Boswell with 6 points each. Kaylynne Duncan and Allia Chacon played amazing defense.

JMS won the C-game 29-7. Iyanna Yates had 6 points, Katherine Zamora, Kali Viles, and Allison Long each contributed 4 points.

"The girls played hard and earned their win," JMS coach Valerie Morrow said.
