Holiday Trail of Lights at the Heard
Experience the most unique holiday lighting display in North Texas at the Heard Nature and Science Museum on Friday, Dec 17; Saturday, Dec 18 or on Sunday, Dec 19 from 6:30-9:00 p.m. Enjoy the 2nd annual Heard Holiday Trail of Lights. See thousands of holiday decorations and lights-many synchronized to holiday music-for a half mile along the Heard nature trails. Take photos with Father Christmas and Mother Nature in a festive, decorated cabin also along the trail. Listen to live holiday music in the Heard outdoor amphitheater and enjoy hot beverages. Support the Heard and have fun at this family-friendly fundraiser.
Entertainment will include the following: * KLTY will broadcast live from our outdoor amphitheater stage on Friday night, December 17, from 6:30 to 8:30PM * The ever-popular "Black Prairie Band" will return on Saturday night, December 18, from 7 to 8 p.m. with their festive renditions of some favorite holiday tunes. * Traditional holiday favorites will headline on Sunday night, December 19, from 7 to 8 p.m. with a special concert performed by The McKinney Community Band. * North Texas Women's Barbershop Chorus in Allen, Texas entertain guests as strolling Christmas carolers on Friday, December 17
Tickets will be available to the public beginning Wednesday, Dec 6. To avoid long lines at the door, purchase tickets online. Tickets are only good for the date purchased. Admission: Early Bird Member Adult -- $5 Early Bird Member Child (3-12) Online, Advance Adult --$6 Online, Advance Child (3-12) -- $4 At Door, Adult -- $7, At door, Child (3-12) -- $5, Ages 2 and under are free Because this is a fund-raising event, there are no refunds, group rates nor senior citizen discounts. In the event of inclement weather, postponement or rescheduling of the event will be posted on our website and on the main phone mail message by noon on the day of the event. General Admission Passes, Free Passes, or Discount Coupons may not be used at this event.
Tips
1. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and dress in clothes for cooler weather.
2. Bring a flashlight
3. Please plan ahead for crowds, lines, and possible parking/traffic delays.
Bring Your Own
Guests are welcome to bring their own picnic dinner and non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy at the Heard.
