The Heard-Craig Center for the Arts hosts the Art History Brown Bag series on the first Wednesday of each month from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. in the Heard-Craig Carriage House at 205 ½ W. Hunt Street in McKinney. There is no charge to attend the series. Whether you’re an art historian or just enjoy a beautiful painting, the Heard-Craig Art History series will heighten your appreciation of art and provide insight into the mind of the artist. The lectures are presented by Annie Royer who has been a studio and decorative painter/muralist for 16 years. Ms. Royer has a fine arts degree from Austin College; and has earned three Master’s Degrees from Yale University in Religion and the Visual Arts, East Asian Studies and the history of art.
