A three-car accident on State Highway 5 in McKinney claimed one life on Thursday afternoon. The accident took place between Wilmeth Road and Weston Road on Highway Five.
Both directions of Highway Five were closed temporarily as McKinney police conducted an investigation into the cause of the accident.

3 p.m. update: Both directions of Highway Five have now reopened.
