Many in the McKinney community may be unaware that McKinney High School is home to the the MISD Natatorium. More may be unaware that the Natatorium offers programs that are open to the public. But, the MISD Natatorium is a great resource whether you are interested in swimming lessons for children, looking for a cool place to host a birthday party or just want to put in some laps. And if you never learned to swim, there’s no better time than now.
With a swim lesson schedule currently underway and running through August 2013, there are a number of opportunities available.

We guarantee 3-5 year olds will be able to swim across the shallow end, if they can hold their face in the water for 10 seconds. Some swim without being able to hold their breath for 10 seconds.
Private lessons are $100 for any of our 5 day sessions.

To register send name(s), age(s), session, class and time of class to sserio@mckinneyisd.net, and he will sign you up. Payment is due on the first day of class.
Swim Lesson Levels
Advanced level: being able to swim 50 yards free and 50 yards back non-stop
Intermediate level: being able to swim 25 yards free and 25 yards backstroke
(in 12 feet of water without hanging on to side or lane rope)
Beginner level: separated by ages 3-5, 6-12 and adult
Adult classes are added on demand. We will give you your preferred spots.
Private lessons are $100 for any of our 5 day sessions.
Infant with parent: 6 months - 2 years 11 months with parent in the water

Public Swim Times
Any time lessons are in session, there will be a lane for lap swimmers available. Cost is $2 per visit per person, or you can purchase a punch card pass for $30 which is good for 20 swims ($1.50 per swim). You and your guests can use the pass.
Pool Rentals
Pool Rentals are available for birthday parties on weeknights & weekends in two-hour blocks at $250 per hour.

So what are the days and times of the public swim times?
