Six hundred of McKinney ISD's finest choir, band, orchestra, art, drama and dance students will be performing Friday night, Jan. 18, in a benefit concert for Serenity High. Deadline for buying tickets is Friday morning, and none will be sold at the door.
As TSB first told you back in December, McKinney ISD Fine Arts presents an evening of “McKinney Music and the Arts” on Friday at the state-of-the-art Allen ISD Performing Arts Center. This special event will feature performances by the finest band, choir and orchestra programs from McKinney high schools.
An art exhibit will showcase the top high school artists, and theater and dance students will entertain throughout the evening.

Proceeds will benefit Serenity High, the state’s only public recovery high school. Now in it’s 12th year, Serenity is open to students from McKinney ISD and neighboring school districts who have successfully completed drug and alcohol rehabilitation. To date, Serenity has served students from more than 25 high school campuses.
