Kim Hatchel, RN, has been named the Chief Nursing Officer for Medical Center of McKinney.
“We are excited that Kim has joined the Medical Center of McKinney Team. Her vast hospital and corporate healthcare experience will help guide our nursing teams forward in providing quality care to our patients,” said Ernest C. Lynch, III, Medical Center of McKinney CEO.
Prior to joining Medical Center of McKinney on December 10th, Hatchel was the assistant CNO and assistant vice president of emergency services for Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), the parent company of Medical Center of McKinney, located in Nashville, Tenn.
She also served as the director of the hospitalist program for HCA’s 688-bed “flagship” hospital Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, and as the nurse manager for the intensive care unit (ICU) and cardiovascular ICU for Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tenn.
Hatchel is currently working on her doctorate in nursing practice at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, and has a master’s of healthcare administration and a master’s of science in nursing from the University of Phoenix. She received her bachelor’s of science degree in nursing from Austin Peay State University.
