1) Boyd, MHS Win ACT College Readiness Awards
McKinney Boyd High School and McKinney High School have received the “2012 College Readiness Award” from the Texas ACT Council for increasing the number of students taking the ACT Assessment over the past five years and significantly increasing their level of achievement and college readiness. They don’t leap tall buildings or perform miraculous feats of strength, but Dowell Middle School teacher Trista Hennebry and McKinney High School teacher Theresa Horvath possess perhaps a far greater power. Read More.

The 6th annual girls Collin County Roundball Classic concluded on Saturday night with Duncanville defeating Plano West 61-55 to claim the tournament title. Read More.
6) Boyd Freshman Girls Basketball Team Wins Tournament Title
The McKinney Boyd freshman girls basketball team recently won the championship at the 16-team McKinney High Freshman Tournament. Read More.
