KXII TV Fox News Texoma is reporting that Anna Police confiscated five pounds of meth from three men who police say were delivering the drugs from Fort Worth to Tulsa, Okla., during the Thanksgiving week.
Sgt. Jeff Caponera says an officer stopped the vehicle driving northbound on 75 near Mantua Road.
Anna (Texas) Police reported that when police searched the vehicle, the driver, Whitewright, Texas, resident Jessie Stephens, took off running. When police caught up with him, they found half a pound of meth on him, half a pound on his passenger, Stephan Hamilton, and several pounds on another passenger, Jose Antonio Salinas.
KXII reports that Stephens and Hamilton bonded out of jail. Salinas is still in the Collin County Jail.
Caponera says police suspect one of the men was going to sell some meth in Van Alstyne, Texas, just north of Anna.
