It was a disappointing Friday night for McKinney Boyd athletics, as the Broncos' volleyball team lost, 3-2, to New Braunfels in the 5A state semifinals at Garland; and the Broncos' football team lost 45-10 to Dallas Jesuit in the 5A opening round of playoffs at Plano's Clark Stadium.
The losses ended both teams' seasons. They were MISD's lone representatives in the volleyball and football playoffs.
