McKinney ISD posted on its Facebook page that rumors of rezoning talks for city schools are just that -- rumors. For now, anyway.
The following was posted by MISD:
There have been some rumors circulating that McKinney ISD is considering rezoning schools for next school year. This is inaccurate. No discussions have or will take place this school year regarding changes to school zones. More than likely, the first discussions of new school zones will take place next school year, and any new school boundaries would go into effect for the 2014-2015 school year. At that time, McKinney High School additions/renovations will have been completed. We will provide additional information next year regarding the timeline and rezoning process.
