Time To Take My Own Staging Advice!

By Gigley Real Estate

I don’t know about you, but I am loving this beautiful Fall weather that we are having! Pumpkin Spice Lattes, watching the leaves slowly starting to think about turning colors, cool morning runs and snuggly blankets! However, it is time for me to take some of my own staging advice… time to spruce up the yard, trim back the bushes and finally remove the two sad dead trees on either side of my front doorstep. I am coming to grips that they truly are too far gone and won’t be coming back. I have become quite the expert at pointing out what needs to be done to my clients houses in order to get them ready to sell, but sometimes it is easy to forget a few of the things that I can do to my own home. Even though I am not selling my home, it is a good time of year to look around, assess what needs to be done and make a little list to keep my home happy, my foundation strong, my drive up appeal homey, and my plumbing and electrical in tip top condition. If you keep up with the maintenance, when the time comes to sell, you won’t be overwhelmed by the amount of issues that you have to tackle just to get your home on the market! So if you have any trees like the one I've shown below then it's probably time to break out the shovel! I don’t know… maybe they will come back next year….
