It was Lion country in downtown McKinney on Saturday morning as McKinney High School kicked off Homecoming festivities with a parade, sans band. The parade is part of a week of organized festivities leading up to Thursday night's Homecoming football game at Ron Poe Stadium and the finale, the Homecoming dance, which will take place on Friday night.
The parade was followed by a carnival, with the proceeds going to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
