McKinney FFA members exhibited their FFA show pig projects at the North Texas State Fair in Denton on Friday, Aug. 24. Paige Kelley was awarded the reserve champion intermediate showman; Wyatt Steele and Ashlee Daniels finished in the in the senior showmanship division.
Here are the results: breed champion Duroc Ashlee Daniels rings A & B, reserve breed champion Duroc Ashlee Daniels rings A & B, breed champion Hampshire Ashlee Daniels ring A, breed champion Yorkshire Wyatt Steele rings A & B, Reserve Grand Champion overall of show was exhibited by Wyatt Steele.
Numerous top 5 finishes by the MISD FFA swine team. Hannah Fincher, Abigail Springfield, and Gabriael Hefner also exhibited at the show and placed respectfully.
Such a great group of hard working students that listen, feed well, and apply knowledge learned in their agricultural science classes. It was a great way for McKinney FFA to wrap up the North Texas State Fair.
