Did you know the ReStore re-blends and resells latex paint?
Partially-used paint litters our landscape and disposal is difficult. Landfills won’t take it and most cities charge a fee for taking it. As part of our green mission, the North Collin County Habitat for Humanity ReStore collects and re-blends latex paint.
This paint comes in a variety of colors, depending on what is used in the blend. The store sells it for $29.95 in 5-gallon containers and it’s great as primer or for areas using 5 gallons or less, because the color cannot be replicated once it’s gone.
The ReStore recently used a re-blend, shown left, in its cash register area and several customers wanted it for their homes because of the fabulous color. The area was painted using our large selection of brushes, rollers and other painting accessories.
The store is located at 2060 Couch Drive in McKinney and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Free pick up is available for your donations with an appointment. Call 972-548-9112, extension 128.
