Conservative Leader Reed to Speak in McKinney on July 27

Submitted by TSB Community

Nationally known conservative leader Ralph Reed is coming to McKinney on Friday, July 27, to celebrate the inauguration of the North Texas affiliate of the Faith & Freedom Coalition.

Reed founded the Faith & Freedom Coalition (FFC) in 2009 as "a 21st century version of the Christian Coalition" to educate concerned voters on the pressing issues of the day, “so they can make an educated and informed decision.” FFC functions as an inclusive faith-based organization that is active at the national level in coordination with state and local affiliates.

Derek Baker, the Executive Director for North Texas, noted “We are committed to educating, equipping, and mobilizing people of faith and like-minded individuals. At this critical stage, it is imperative that people at the grassroots level demand to have a voice in public policy. People of faith must unite and return this country to its core beliefs – the bedrock principles of faith in and reliance upon an Almighty God and unbridled freedom to pursue one’s dreams.  All are welcome to join in the advocacy for this noble cause.”

“Those in attendance will have the distinct privilege of meeting Ralph Reed, who has transformed the landscape of grassroots politics in our nation. In addition, Gary Marx, FFC’s Executive Director, and Billy Kirkland, the National Field Director, will be joining us.”

The event will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. at Rick’s Chophouse on the square in downtown McKinney. Rick’s Chophouse is located at 107 N. Kentucky Street, McKinney, Texas.
