McKinney Christian Academy’s Varsity Cheerleading Squad participated in the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) camp this past week in Waco.
“This past week at cheer camp was an eye-opening experience," said Mandy Moore, varsity cheerleader. "Yes, we worked hard and, yes, we played hard but the best part of the week was late at night when we all gathered together in Coach Sparks’ room and shared devotionals, talked and learned more about Christ. Our week at camp was an overall success and taught each girl more about cheer and our faith itself.
"Cheer camp was an awesome experience for everyone and brought the team together as a whole and made us so excited about the upcoming season!”
Cheer camp was also a hit for the MCA middle school team. If you haven't seen the story on the middle school cheerleaders in the Education or Sports sections, you can click here to view it.
