The McKinney Baseball Association's 12-year-old team won a thrilling 16-15 championship game over the weekend to clinch an All-Star Tournament in Flower Mound.
The team played two games Saturday to determine its seeding, which turned out to be seventh out of nine teams. Tournament action then began Sunday morning in a single-elimination format.
After going 2-0 in its two first games, it found itself in the finals. And the championship game was a tough one! More than halfway through the game, McKinney found itself trailing 10-2. But these young players hung in, played their hearts out and never gave up. They won the tournament 16-15. It was an exciting, heart-racing kind of game.
These McKinney All-Star baseball players came out and represented McKinney in all the best ways possible. Congratulations to the MBA age 12 All Stars!
