State Representative Jodie Laubenberg today announced her endorsement of Jeff Leach in the runoff election for State Representative in District 67 on July 31st. Representative Laubenberg’s endorsement adds to the growing list of key conservative leaders who have endorsed Leach’s campaign for the Texas House of Representatives, including State Representative Jerry Madden and State Representative Ken Paxton.
Representative Laubenberg stated, “I am excited to endorse and support Jeff Leach in his campaign for Texas House District 67. In Jeff Leach, voters will have a representative with a firm grasp of the challenges and opportunities facing Collin County. Jeff brings an unwavering commitment to the conservative values and principles that Texas families demand.”
Laubenberg continued, “Jeff has the experience, integrity and values necessary to be an effective advocate and leader in the Texas House. I look forward to working with him in the years to come as a key member of our Collin County delegation in the Legislature.”
In response to Representative Laubenberg’s endorsement, Jeff Leach said “I am grateful to have the support of Representative Laubenberg, who for years has been a stalwart conservative leader in the Texas House. I look forward to working with her and the other legislators from Collin County to ensure our community remains one of the best places to live, work and raise a family in the State of Texas.”
Representative Laubenberg has consistently earned the highest ratings from conservative organizations such as Texans for Fiscal Responsibility and Young Conservatives of Texas. As evidence of her popularity across the district, since her first election to the Texas House in 2002 she has never drawn an opponent in the Republican primary.
Running for Texas House of Representative in District 67, Jeff Leach was raised in Plano and graduated from Plano Senior High School. He is a graduate of SMU’s Dedman School of Law and currently practices with the law firm of Griffith Nixon Davison, P.C. He received his undergraduate degree from Baylor University. Jeff and his wife Becky are active members of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano. They live in Plano with their two children Brady, age 4, and Charlotte, age 1.
Leach has previously earned endorsements from organizations including Texans For Fiscal Responsibility, Young Conservatives of Texas, Texas Right to Life, Conservative Republicans of Texas and the Collin County Conservative Republicans, among others.
