After years of hard work, the McKinney Senior Center celebrated its 10th anniversary with a party on Saturday.
For three hours on June 1, the seniors of McKinney and their families gathered at the Senior Center to eat food, play games, listen to music, and celebrate the tremendous success of the Senior Center. Inside and out, the Senior Center was decked with decorations of all kinds and people filled in to enoy them.
Members of the Parks and Recreation office of McKinney attended and gave a brief history about the Senior Center and the journey to its amazing success. Mayor Brian Loughmiller also made an appearance and shared personal stories connected to the Senior Center. Awards and recognitions were given to those individuals who have made a lasting impact on the Senior Center because or their help and dedication. To round off the festivities, the Mayor cut the cake and served it to the guests.
