Hollie Cavanagh will return home to McKinney this weekend after the 2012 season of American Idol comes to an end. Join us in Historic Downtown McKinney as we welcome Hollie with a homecoming parade and celebration.
The parade in historic downtown McKinney is planned for Saturday, May 26 at 10 a.m. Show up to line the streets and welcome Hollie home! Hollie will perform songs from past rounds on American Idol at a concert on the square following the parade.
“Everyone in McKinney is encouraged to come out and welcome our hometown American Idol, Hollie Cavanagh, back to our city. We are so proud of all she has accomplished and want to show our appreciation for representing McKinney to the world,” said Mayor Brian Loughmiller.
Mayor Loughmiller will proclaim May 26 “Hollie Cavanagh Day” and present Hollie with a key to the city at the event. People who attend the parade and the concert are encouraged to bring posters to show support for Hollie.
As a top four finalist, Hollie will be part of the AMERICAN IDOL LIVE tour. The tour will be the first chance to see Hollie Cavanagh and the other top 10 Season 12 Americann Idol finalists live in concert.
