Early Voting Begins for Republican, Democratic Primaries

By TSB Staff

Collin County opens early voting this morning, Monday, May 14, for its 2012 elections. It will run every day between today and May 25.

The actual election day is Tuesday, May 29.

For the county's web site, which lists the hours for early voting and allows you to search for your early voting site, in accordance with your home address, please click here.

If you are eligible to vote on election day, you are eligible to vote during the early voting period. The lines are shorter and the days and hours are more convenient. Early voting is open to all voters, no excuses necessary.

The early voting locations and early voting schedule are established by the subdivision calling the election. Collin County establishes the early voting locations and voting hours for county, state, and federal elections. Each school district, city, and water district establishes the early voting locations and voting hours for their elections. Typically, a voter can vote at any early voting location that is available for their specific school district, city, or water district during the early voting period.
