The Sunrise Rotary club delivers large American flags to your home for 5 holidays each year and the proceeds are used to support local charities and groups.
For $45 annually you will have a flag delivered to and picked up from your parkway by local Boy Scouts. The holidays are: Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Labor Day (for a week) and Veterans Day. Our delivery service boundaries include east of Custer Road, North of McKinney Ranch Road, South of Highway 380 and West of Highway 75. When you lease a flag, we'll install a PVC sleeve with a cap in the ground near your front curb, and a 3' X 5' U.S. flag mounted on 10' metal pole is placed in the sleeve.
Proceeds received from the flags have supported Boy Scout Troops, Angel Flight South Central, MEF permanent endowment for teacher grants, Boys and Girls Clubs, Samaritan Inn, McKinney Family YMCA, Meals on Wheels, and Make a Wish Foundation, just to name a local few charities. Additionally, wheelchairs, polio immunizations and clean water projects have been supported globally.
To receive flags for all five holidays, payment must be received no later than May 15th. Applications can be found on www.McKinneySunriserotary.org and leases may be paid for by check or on-line using PayPal.
