The nation's No. 1-ranked NAIA baseball team, the LSU Shreveport Pilots, are benefitting from the right arm of 2008 McKinney North graduate Matt Lackie.
Lackie, a 6-foot-3, 224-pound senior right-hander, tossed a three-hit shutout Friday night against Houston-Victoria on Friday. That improved his season record to 8-0. LSU Shreveport is 33-3 and has won 14 games in a row.
Before transferring to LSU Shreveport, Lackie previously played for Northwestern State.
