Volunteer McKinney Center offers several opportunities this week.
•The Animal Ambassadors program at SPCA of McKinney trains volunteers to help staff members provide exceptional care to animals while they wait for their “forever homes.” Volunteers must be 18 years old or volunteer with a parent or guardian if 12-17 years old. Time commitment is 20 hours within three months, and each shift is 2 hours. Eventually, volunteers may complete Animal Handling Training and advance to additional program areas. •Farm Animal Fun. Chestnut Square Historic Village is seeking volunteers to help care for two white miniature goats. Regular feeding, watering, and clean-up will keep these goats happy. •Natural Health Fest is seeking volunteers to assist with the many activities at this Plano special event on March 31 for persons interested in achieving optimum health and learning about the latest wellness innovations. Available volunteer duties include providing information to attendees, monitoring entrances, helping with prize registration, assisting with ticket sales, and monitoring lecture halls.
