Boys Basketball Playoffs: Bulldogs Dominate 2nd Half to Beat Creekview

McKinney North's boys basketball team rallied from a two-point halftime deficit Tuesday night to beat Carrollton Creekview 68-58 in the opening round of the 4A playoffs.

Bulldogs coach Darryll Craft used a balance attack that saw four players score in double figures -- Julion Pearre with 18, Collin Curran with 14, Alexander Ridley 11 and Jola Otubu 10. Alex Pelton also scored nine for the team-oriented North squad.

Creekview (21-14) led 29-27 at halftime in the bi-district game played at Plano East, but North outscored Creekview 20-12 in the third quarter and its comeback was on.

As a result, McKinney North (22-12) advanced to the Area Round of the playoffs later this week, where it will take on Dallas Woodrow Wilson. Wilson defeated Dallas Pinkston 69-46 on Tuesday in another bi-district contest.  Wilson is 25-3 overall and won 12-4A with an 11-1 district record.

North is the No. 3 seed from 10-4A.
