Fort Worth Lake Country Christian defeated McKinney Christian 56-34 on Saturday afternoon, ending the Lady Mustangs' successful season in the Area Round of the 3A TAPPS playoffs.
MCA finished its season with a 21-12 record after Saturday's contest, which was played at Fort Worth Country Day.
Lake Country jumped ahead 21-8 after one quarter, then the real blow came in the second when MCA couldn't manage to score and fell behind 32-8 at halftime. The Lady Mustangs played hard in the second half, nonetheless, and stood toe-to-toe for the rest of the game.
Kaitlyn McAdams scored 19 points to lead MCA, while Julie James added 11.
Julianne Leeper led Lake Country with 25 points.
