The Collin College Auteur Film Series will screen Pleasantville at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 7 at the Living Legends Conference Center.
Pleasantville supports the series’ 2011-12 theme of “Films From the Wasteland: TV and the Recline(r) of Civilization.”
The film features teenagers Jennifer and David, who are thrust into a 1950s sitcom and attempt to integrate into its relentlessly wholesome world. However, their presence begins to transform the black-and-white values of Pleasantville.
The Living Legends Conference Center is located at the Spring Creek Campus, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano.
The screening is free and open to the public. The film runs 124 minutes. Some material may not be suitable for all audiences.
