McKinney Independent School District (MISD)

1) MEF Allen American Night
On MLK Day, January 16th, the Allen Americans take on the Tulsa Oilers and $2 from every ticket sold will benefit the McKinney Education Foundation (MEF).

In order to get your discount tickets, and for McKinney Education Foundation to get credit, please use the promo code MISD at the Allen Event Center Box office, Allen Americans Team Store, ticketmaster.com or by calling the Allen Americans at 972-912-1000.

2) McKinney ISD Adult Tour
Come aboard the 2nd Annual McKinney Independent School District (MISD) Senior Tour on February 1st from 9am – 3pm to learn about your school district and get to know Dr. J.D. Kennedy, MISD Superintendent of Schools.

3) MEF College Funding 101 Meeting
Join MEF on January 23rd at 6:30 pm in the McKinney Boyd High School Cafeteria to learn more about finding money for college.  The MEF Advisors will discuss details for filing a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) including when to file, how to file and many more tips!

4) MLK Day Schools Closed

There will be no school in observance of Martin Luther King Jr Day on Monday, January 16, 2012.

5) CHS Orchestra to Perform National Anthem
On Friday, January 20th at Dr. Pepper Arena, the Centennial High School (CHS) Orchestra will perform the National Anthem for the Texas Legends when they take on the Canon Charge.
