It's not too soon to begin thinking about 2012, and parents, what better way to start the new year off in a positive direction than by taking a class in parenting. McKinney ISD will present a parent education class entitled "Becoming a Love and Logic Parent" beginning January 10.
The Love and Logic philosophy is one based holding kids accountable for their mistakes, on logical consequences for a child's behavior and "will help both the parent and the school promote teamwork and focus on the common goal: better success for the student".
There will be four sessions on Tuesdays at the Greer Annex, 510 Heard St. 75069, in McKinney. Cost is $50 for the entire four week session.
