1) School Board Vote
The School Board will vote on the new boundaries Tuesday night, Sept. 27, at its regular board meeting beginning at 7 p.m. in the MISD Administration Building at One Duvall Street. You may view the recommended map HERE, or visit MISD to view an alternative map and the population estimates for the new districts.
2) Preparing for College
McKinney Boyd HS Cafeteria, September 26th at 6:30pm
Please join the McKinney Education Foundation Advisors to learn more about the college application process. Topics will include: Application and deadline information, SAT/ACT, essay writing, scholarship searching and FAFSA. Click HERE for more information.
3) Homecoming Week 9/26 – 10/1
The McKinney Boyd Homecoming Week schedule includes activities each day culminating with the “Dancing in the Dark” Homecoming Dance at 8pm on October 1st in the Boyd Cafeteria.
Please join the Bronco Fest Community Pep Rally on Wednesday September 28, 2011 from 5:30pm - 8:30pm to celebrate the upcoming homecoming game. All are invited to this free event featuring carnival games, car bashing, concessions, music and entertainment by the Bronco Band, Color Guard, Choir, Bailadoras and Cheerleaders. Come out and enjoy this fun family event recognizing all our Bronco athletes!!
It’s McKinney Boyd vs. Naaman Forest at Roe Poe Stadium on Friday, September 30th at 7:30pm. Stop by the TownSquareBuzz booth at the game for a spirit magnet and a chance to win an iPhone5!
See You At The Pole is an annual gathering of Christian students of all ages at a flagpole in front of their local school for prayer, scripture reading and hymn singing, during the early morning hours before school starts. MCA Upper School will be participating in See You At The Pole on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 7am.
Test-Taking 101 is a mini-course for students who want to improve their test-taking skills. It will be held on September 28th at 8:15am in Lecture Hall (C100).
