The Cockrill Cowboys 7th grade football team traveled to Highland Park to play Monday night football.
The Cockrill B Team was defeated by Highland Park 19-6.
The Cockrill A Team defeated Highland Park 26-6. The defense scored on the first play of the game on a fumble recovery returned for a touchdown by Kaeden Markham. Cockrill scored another touchdown in the second quarter after a handoff by quarterback Noah Honesty to Kaeden Markham. The second half continued to be exciting with two spectacular touchdown runs by Connor Manning and great defensive plays including a sack deep in the backfield by Tyler Harry.
This is their second straight victory after winning against Sherman last week. Cockrill will play Prosper next week.
