The Collin County Historical Society is excited to announce the first in a series of Book Signings and lectures from Randy W. Farmer, the author of From Blackland Prairie to Blacktop: A History of Collin County, as he presents his take on some of the less ethical occupants from our county’s history. At one time the two most feared and well-known criminal gangs in the United States operated out of Collin County. We have all heard these stories of Sam Bass and Frank and Jesse James! But there were an awful lot of lesser-known outlaws who called our county home and whose exploits were no less exciting. Hear the facts in Farmer’s words and see the pictures to back it up.
From Blackland Prairie to Blacktop: A History of Collin County will be available at the event for $39.95. After the presentation, Randy Farmer will be available to sign the books. There is a special promotion for anyone attending. For $49.99 you will automatically become a member of the Collin County Historical Society for one year and receive a copy of the book.
