16 MISD Football Players Named Academic All-State
Sixteen high school football players from McKinney were named to the Texas High School Coaches Association Academic All-State team for the 2010 season.
McKinney Boyd was most represented with nine players; McKinney High placed four on the team; and McKinney North placed three.
First-Team members included McKinney Boyd's Kyle Zimmerman in Class 5A; and McKinney North's Austin Laudenslager and McKinney High's Brent Tolbert in 4A.

The Texas High School Coaches Assocaition has grown from 28 members in 1930 to almost 20,000 making it the largest organization of its kind in the world. The annual coaching school boasts an attendance of nearly 13,000.
